Winter DTS 2016

We were created for relationship. With God and others.

God has been teaching me so much in the month I have been in the DTS (Discipleship Training School) with YWAM (Youth With A Mission).
He has begun to break down false things I have believed to be true of Him and His character, and is beginning to rebuild on a firm foundation that is based on the truths of who He really is!

Each week our staff has a speaker come and share for five days in lectures on a different topic
Week ONE > Hearing the voice of God
Week TWO > Grace
Week THREE > Father heart of God
And THIS WEEK the topic is Relationships.

Praying for our speaker as he heads home from the week.
Outreach Team
I am beginning to see areas in my life that I have put other things (even my hopes and dreams of what I think is best for my future) above God and have not fully trusted Him with what's to come.

OUTREACH:
Each of the three outreach teams is getting prepared in their groups for going overseas in a couple of months. As we do so, we are praying that God would give us a heart for the country and the people we will encounter there.
It has been amazing to me to see how much my heart for travel and just to even go to another country has begun to shift (in a good way!)
I am looking forward to the experiences that will happen on outreach and I am so thankful that God chooses to use me (us) as a part of this amazing story and to go share the Gospel (the GOOD NEWS of JESUS CHRIST) to people who don't know Him! What a privilege!

TRACK:
The Music Track is so much fun! We are learning what true worship really is, some music theory, how to lead a worship team, and so many other things.
There are five (including me) out of the twenty five DTS students in this track and we have a blast together.
I had the privilege of helping lead out school in worship last week and the next day got to play violin with the whole team! I absolutely LOVE playing with another violinist who plays by ear, it bring a smile to my face!

WORK DUTY:

Yes, I have paper tower pieces up my nose....
Getting ready to clean out the grease pit.
It's lovely... yes, that is sarcasm.
I just wanted to share with you how I look on Wednesdays when cleaning in the kitchen....

FUN:
I get to lead a Zumba song each Saturday morning at a classmates workout class!
My roommate and I went for a lovely walk.

I get to see my sister and have awesome lunch dates with her in the snow!

These three lovely people and I went to volunteer at a church banquet over the weekend and had a blast!
I got to see a horse on the back trail behind the YWAM base!

Beautiful view of the lake and beautiful friends!

My heart for these crazy, goofy, and amazing people continues to grow daily! I feel so blessed to have the love and support I have here as well as the amazing love and support I continue to receive from those of you back home!!
Until next time....

~Thank you for your love and support~
                                love, Lindsee Michelle
